It is an undeniable fact that in this universe, there is no book besides the Holy Qur’an that can, with absolute certainty and conviction, be declared as divine revelation. This honor belongs solely to the Glorious Qur’an. The Ummah rose to greatness by acting upon its teachings, and by neglecting it, they faced decline.
The present humiliation and disgrace of the Muslim Ummah is also because today the people of the Ummah have set aside the Noble Qur’an. One manifestation of this neglect and turning away is that no effort is made to understand it; rather, contentment is placed only in reciting its words. This, in itself, is both a sign of distance from the Qur’an and a cause of it, for as long as one does not become familiar with its meanings, a true connection with it cannot be established.
